    Lisa D. Shields, LPC, is a seasoned counselor specializing in providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adolescents(teens), families, and women. Her mission is to empower individuals through personalized support that fosters hope, healing, and personal growth in a safe, nurturing environment.

    Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Counseling/Psychology from Liberty University, along with two Master’s degrees in Trauma/Crisis Response and Marriage and Family Therapy. She brings extensive experience working with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, self-harm, ADHD, low self-esteem, school-related issues, family conflict, divorce/blended families, and women’s issues. Lisa also supports young adults navigating the stressors of college transitions and early adulthood.

    Drawing on a blend of therapeutic approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Therapy, and Christian Counseling—Lisa tailors her work to each client’s unique needs. She is deeply committed to creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, valued, and supported.

    Before moving into private practice, Lisa served as a School-Based Mental Health Therapist in the public school system. There, she worked closely with students, families, teachers, and administrators, and collaborated regularly with a consulting pediatric psychiatrist during monthly treatment team meetings.

    Lisa is dedicated to walking alongside her clients on their journey toward resilience, self-discovery, and emotional wellness.
