In group therapy, you will work with a trained therapist in conjunction with others who can understand and relate to your concerns.  The group can act as a support network and a sounding board by helping you come up with ideas for improving a difficult situation or life challenge, while also holding you accountable along the way.  Regularly talking and listening to others often helps you put your own problems into perspective.  You will learn to develop communication and socialization skills, relate to, and learn from others, develop coping skills in a group setting, improve self- awareness and self-esteem, and normalize life experiences.
